ASSA Regattas and Registration Forms

The ASSA Albemarle Challenge Regatta is organized by members of the Albemarle Sound Sailing Association. Members are Colington Yacht Club, Edenton Yacht Club, Osprey Yacht Club, Pasquotank River Yacht Club, and Roanoke Island Yacht Club. The Regatta is open to all ASSA keel boats with a valid PHRF rating.  Visiting race boats will be allowed to dock their boats free of charge at the Albemarle Plantation Marina (if slips are available) on the Sunday before the regatta and must depart the Sat following the regatta.  Boats must register with the Dockmaster at least two weeks before the race and show proof of insurance.  An anchorage exists close to the marina, and the Dockmaster will make a launch service available.  

Get your boats ready for some SPRING RACING!  The Albemarle Sprint is a two day, point to point race April 25-26, 2025.   Racing begins on Saturday in Hertford at the Albemarle Plantation and finishes after 32+ nm in Elizabeth City.  There will be plenty of food and drink available around the Elizabeth City Waterfront Saturday evening, before a Sunday morning start and a 32+ nm race back to Hertford and the Albemarle Plantation.   A Sunday evening awards event is planned at the Dockside Cafe, Albemarle Plantation.   

Registration is only $25, and all food and drink will be pay as you go.  A Skippers Meeting is planned for Friday, April 25, 7:00 p.m. at the Dockside Cafe, Albemarle Plantation.  

A Notice of Race with all the details is attached with links to courses, proposed back up courses in case of nasty weather, and Registration Form (Google Form), docking arrangements, and a schedule of events.
